This month we have reached the amazing milestone of 10 years of Little Muddy Boots. It is a huge feat and we are extremely proud and enormously grateful to every individual who has played a part in our success story so far.

Outstanding achievements
Over the years we have educated thousands of children in gardening and nature study. We currently teach a staggering 500 children per week across our seven Little Muddy Boots gardens.
The business has grown from having a strong presence in the south east to spreading further afield across the south of England. Our team is now made up of over 20 dedicated outdoor educators, with Little Muddy Boots gardens now located in the counties of Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and Devon, as well as across Berkshire near the towns Bracknell, Henley, Windsor and Wokingham.
Driven by passion
Our Founder Hannah, a garden designer and qualified Level 3 forest school leader, wanted to provide an exciting but safe space to explore and learn about the great outdoors. As a mum of three lively children herself, she knew just how important those early year opportunities for children to spend quality time with their parents, siblings and friends were. And so, Little Muddy Boots was born.
As well as the many hours of classes we run each week, Little Muddy Boots also loves to give back, be it to the local community or special causes. One way we do this is by engaging with over 20 schools each year and running bespoke gardening workshops, gifting plants and holding growing competitions.
The business is truly fuelled on passion and the hope to ignite a love of nature in all the children that walk through our gates.

Our top highlights
The last decade has provided many highlights – some of which you may have seen cropping up on our social channels from time to time!
We’ve had the honour of appearing at the Royal Windsor Flower Show, Countrytastic and the Royal Windsor Horse Show, as well as hosting exciting community engagement events in conjunction with The Lexicon in Bracknell.
This year we also partnered with HiPP Organic. Helping children to connect with the natural world in a safe and encouraging environment is our passion and we feel lucky to have a brand partner like HiPP Organic who are equally as dedicated to the wellbeing of babies, young children and the planet.
How we are celebrating
Reaching 10 years of Little Muddy Boots deserves big a celebration! To mark the occasion, we threw a LMB 10th birthday party at our Fernygrove Farm site.

For our Winter Garden Party, we were joined by 10 children who have attended Little Muddy Boots over the last 10 years. They were invited to play and explore the garden, as well as helping to decorate two seed swap libraries.

One will be installed at our Fernygrove Farm. For the second, we have partnered with Berkeley Group to install a co-branded seed swap library at its Berkeley Homes Woodhurst development.

Once this seed swap library has been installed in this thriving community, local children will be invited to visit, be gifted gardening-themed goody bags that include free seeds to start their own gardening journey and seed swapping fun!

It was a beautifully fitting way to mark what has been a rewarding and momentous decade.
What the future holds
Now that we’ve reached 10 years of Little Muddy Boots, what’s next? Well, we are already planning some fantastic events for next year, so watch this space. We are also keen to continue expanding and growing our number of beautiful gardens spaces.
