Celebrating Big Moments: Muddy Stilettos Regional Finalist 2026!

We have some wonderful news to share from the garden! Little Muddy Boots was named a regional finalist for Best Childcare Provider in Berkshire in the Muddy Stilettos Awards 2026.

While we didn’t take home the top spot this time, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude. Every single day in our sessions is about watching little hands make big discoveries, splashing in puddles, and creating special memories outdoors. Being recognised as one of the best in our region is a true celebration of our entire community.

A huge thank you to everyone who voted, shared kind words, and continues to explore the outdoors with us. You make everything we do so magical!

We Won Gold! Little Muddy Boots and The Lexicon Celebrate Green Apple Award Win

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that our partnership with The Lexicon Bracknell has won a prestigious Gold Award at the International Green Apple Environment Awards!Winning in the Property & Estate Management: Habitat & Diversity category, this incredible accolade recognises the impact of our joint, community-focused biodiversity campaign delivered in 2025.

Bringing Nature to Life: Bugs, Birds, and Blooms

Launched during the May half-term in 2025, our team helped transform urban retail spaces into vibrant, nature-based education hubs. Designed to connect local children and families with the natural world, the project focused on three exciting environmental themes: Bugs, Birds, and Blooms.

As part of the award-winning campaign, we delivered:

Interactive Nature Trails:
Immersive educational pathways teaching families about local wildlife and urban ecosystems.

Our Hands-On Workshops:
Multi-sensory learning sessions where we got children exploring soil health, planting, and insect habitats.

The Lexicon Pollinators Programme:
Creative urban wildlife efforts, including helping to design a massive bug hotel spelling out 'The Lexicon' alongside active honeybee hives.

Creating a Lasting Green Legacy for Local Schools

For us, this project was all about long-term community impact. Beyond the half-term events, we designed and gifted pop-up sensory and biodiversity gardens to local schools and community spaces. These specialised gardens now provide schools with: Dedicated spaces for outdoor learning and student well-being. Pollinator-friendly plants and wildflowers to actively boost local insect populations. Practical tools and mini-beast environments to help teachers deliver hands-on environmental education.

This Green Apple Gold Award underscores our ongoing mission at Little Muddy Boots to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards. We are incredibly proud to see our 2025 efforts and our passion for outdoor learning recognised on such a prestigious stage!
