Frequently Asked Questions

Before starting Little Muddy Boots sessions, please read our information pack which includes details of what to expect, suggested clothing and our latest adjustments in accordance with COVID-19 guidelines for keeping you, your child and our staff safe.

At Little Muddy Boots there is often a little, or a lot of mud – so we always suggest wearing wellies (and good socks!) even if you are just exploring your garden or your park! Its means a puddle can be jumped in, mud can be splashed in, and every other adventure in-between. There is no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing! Click here to read our guide.

Are Little Muddy Boots Sessions running?

Yes, they are, as long as Covid restrictions allow the garden is open for classes. We have put in a huge amount of time and care into making sure our sessions in the Little Muddy Boots garden and nursery setting are safe and meet Covid-19 guidance.

What age can you start Little Muddy Boots?

We run two types of classes, our ‘preschooler’ Little Muddy Boots sessions where children of 2 years and over can enjoy the organised activities, whether it’s an individual challenge or a group activity. Younger siblings (0-1.5 years) who are joining their big brother / sister at the session are welcomed and are free to come along. Once they are old enough, please chat to your Group Leader as to when they can officially become a Little Muddy Booter and join in fully!

Then we also have our ‘toddler playgroups’ where our youngest Little Muddy Booters (1-3 years) can try out some activities at their own pace as well as getting down to the important job of creating the perfect mud pie!

Do we stay with our child or do we leave our child with you?

Little Muddy Boots sessions are ‘stay and play’ where we expect the adult to stay with their child. We hope that the welcoming environment, the creative & imaginative activities and the opportunity to make memorable moments with your child will ensure you enjoy it as much as your child does.

Do you run sessions, regardless of the weather?

We firmly believe in the saying ‘there is no such thing as bad wether, just inappropriate clothing!’ Little Muddy boots sessions run regularly throughout the year, come rain or shine.

We would only cancel a session high winds / storms are anticipated. In this scenario, you would receive the option to join another group on a different day, or be credited for that one session.
