In the weeks leading up to the prestigious Royal Windsor Flower Show 2025, Little Muddy Boots worked closely with local schools to bring gardening, creativity, and outdoor learning to life for children in the community.
Exploring Patterns in Nature
The theme for the event explored “Patterns in Nature” and Founder Hannah Brewer spent time with pupils exploring this topic, learning about insects, and encouraging families to slow down and observe patterns around them.
It didn’t stop there though, as Little Muddy Boots helped the schools prepare and plant potatoes for the Potato Weigh-In Competition as well as guiding them in the design and creation of wheelbarrow gardens. These hands-on projects, which included growing their own flowers, gave children the opportunity to nurture their plants, explore the joys of gardening, and take pride in their imaginative creations.
Show Day Success
The hard work paid off on show day. The potato crops were judged by Hannah alongside HRH The Duchess of Edinburgh, Sophie, while the colourful wheelbarrow gardens stood proudly on display for visitors to admire – including His Majesty The King.
Inspiring Young Gardeners
These school projects are a perfect example of how Little Muddy Boots combines hands-on learning with creativity and outdoor play, inspiring children to connect with nature and develop a lifelong love of gardening.
Through initiatives like these, pupils gain practical skills, explore biodiversity, and enjoy the satisfaction of seeing their efforts bloom.
