During October Half Term we were delighted to be included in the Seedling Sprites event at The Lexicon, Bracknell.
Based in Princess Square, the Little Muddy Boots team ran a ‘pop up garden’ event specially designed to engage local young families in the wonders of Autumn, the local wildlife they might spot in Bracknell Forest and the vital contribution they can make to the nearby woodlands.
Each session ran for 30mins, with 16 little ones and their grown ups joining in nature crafts, seasonal storytelling and identification of woodland flora and fauna. Every child took home a beautiful autumnal tree picture, and their very own freshly planted acorn.
The day was a huge success, we saw 64 children, made 64 autumn tree pictures and planted 64 acorns. What an amazing day! And fantastic to meet so many new children too.
