Mud, Petals & Play: Little Muddy Boots Brings Nature to Life at the Royal Windsor Flower Show 2025

Little Muddy Boots was delighted to continue their support of the prestigious Royal Windsor Flower Show, sharing our passion for gardening, nature, and outdoor learning with visitors from across the country.

Inspiring Schools Ahead of the Show

Our involvement begins long before the gates opened. In the months leading up to the show, our teaching teams visit 15 local schools, helping children plant their potatoes for the Potato Weigh-In Competition and working with them to design and build their incredible wheelbarrow gardens.

These unique projects give the children a chance to get stuck into gardening, nurture their plants, and take pride in what they had grown and created.

A Day Full of Excitement

When 2025 show day arrived, the excitement was palpable. Our Founder, Hannah, then had the honour of judging the Potato Weigh-In alongside HRH The Duchess of Edinburgh, Sophie – a real highlight for both the children and our team.

The wheelbarrow gardens, bursting with imagination and colour, stood proudly on display and received well-deserved admiration from visitors.

Hands-on Family Fun

Throughout the day, the Little Muddy Boots stand welcomed families eager to explore the magic of gardening. Children enjoyed hands-on activities that sparked curiosity about plants and pollinators, while parents discovered more about our gardening clubs and how we help children connect with nature in playful, practical ways.

A Royal Encounter

And then came a moment we will never forget – the children, along with the Little Muddy Boots team, had the honour of meeting His Majesty The King. It was a truly special experience that rounded off an unforgettable day.

Hannah, Founder of Little Muddy Boots, reflected:

“It was such an honour to be part of the Royal Windsor Flower Show this year. Working with schools in the build-up to the event was incredibly rewarding, and seeing the children’s excitement as they showcased their potato crops and wheelbarrow gardens was just wonderful. Meeting His Majesty was the icing on the cake, and we feel so proud to have represented the joy of gardening with the next generation.”

A Celebration of Gardening

The Royal Windsor Flower Show is a highlight of the horticultural calendar, attracting gardeners, growers, and nature enthusiasts of all ages. This year’s show featured vibrant floral displays, expert talks, artisan stalls, and family experiences – and Little Muddy Boots was proud to contribute to its rich tradition of community and creativity.

Looking Ahead

We would like to thank everyone who visited us at the show and joined in the fun. We look forward to continuing to inspire children and families to explore, plant, and grow – both in our clubs and at next year’s events.
