This May half-term, Little Muddy Boots was thrilled to bring a burst of colour and creativity to The Lexicon Bracknell as part of their Spring into Colour celebration. Families, young gardeners, and local care home residents all came together to explore, create and enjoy the magic of spring.
A Pop-Up Garden in Union Square
For over a week, Union Square was transformed into a lively pop-up garden, where children and adults alike could get hands-on with colourful planting, sowing seeds and crafting. The garden wasn’t just a feast for the eyes – it was a space for learning, curiosity, and fun, where everyone could discover the simple joy of connecting with nature.
Bringing Colour to Care Homes
Around the Spring into Colour campaign, the Little Muddy Boots team visited 13 care homes in the local area, spending time sowing seeds, sharing stories and helping to bring colour to the garden. We were especially lucky to have children from a local nursery join us for a special day, bringing play and energy that delighted the care home residents.

Community Spirit in Action
The Spring into Colour celebration was made possible thanks to wonderful local partners who helped the garden flourish – from paint donated by Crown Decorating, to compost from Shorts, and delicious fruit from Halls Partnership. Volunteers pitched in to ensure every visitor could enjoy a colourful, hands-on experience that was as fun as it was inspiring.
Looking Back with Pride
This has been an ongoing partnership between The Lexicon Bracknell and Little Muddy Boots, and we are proud to have played a part in bringing the magic of nature and gardening to the heart of Bracknell. It was a week of smiles, creativity and growth – inspiring little gardeners and spreading joy across the community.
